Sacred Heart College is an affiliated First Grade College of Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore,
Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1951 and is administered by the Salesians of Don Bosco.
The college has been reaccredited (4th Cycle - under RAF) with ‘A+’ Grade by NAAC and had
obtained 95th Rank in NIRF 2017. It is the oldest and the long standing autonomous college which
strives to bring about social transformation in the rural neighbourhood through its ideals.
About SHYIA 2021
Sacred Heart Young Innovator Award (SHYIA) is an annual national competition organized by
Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur for the students pursuing their Arts, Commerce
and Science programmes. This is a maiden attempt made by the college to harness the innovative
potential of the young minds for a better nation. The competition invites innovations under two
categories, namely processes and products. Deserving contestants will be awarded.The event
is scheduled for 20th March 2021.
